Brett Luthy and his Cimarron TrailerThis Cimarron trailer is terrific. It handles the rough mountain roads of southeast Idaho with ease. The cattle load and unload better than any other trailer I have owned. When I started pulling the Cimarron my fuel mileage increased ½ to 1 mile per gallon better than my old Wilson trailer.

I have no regrets for buying a 2003 Chaparral 53' spread axle cattle trailer. The design is superior to any I've owned before, for the ease of loading and unloading cattle. G I Trailer's service department was easy to work with when I asked them to make a few adjustments. There is no doubt that in the future if the cost is comparable, I would buy a new Cimarron over the other brands.

Tyler Dugan and his Cimarron TrailerDriver friendliness is about all I have to say.

  • The counter balance on the right hand side
  • Extra clearance on the counter balance so you don't pinch your fingers
  • Slam loc gates so you don't have to bend down and put pins in anymore
  • I go out every year on the fall run to Montana and Wyoming and I have never had my rear sliding door freeze up, never
  • The fold up ramp is really nice and handy, and driver friendly
  • All in all it is a great trailer

If you do any long hauls, hogs or a lot of feeders, don't even hesitate. Make sure you get the L shape dog house and the crank up nose deck.

I have owned Merritt and Wilson spread axle stocker feeder trailers but when it comes time to get another trailer, mine will be a Cimarron.
